Two independent sources confirmed that Chad Steiner continues employment at Frederick County Public Schools.

Ballenger Creek Middle School’s website also confirms Steiner’s employment.

Chad Steiner was fired from Carroll Manor Elementary School last year due to allegations of child abuse.

Fellow staff Maureen Mazzie and Lisa Stickley were also implicated in 2+ years of abuse.

Principal Kimberly Robertson allegedly covered up over two years’ worth of reports of abuse.

A subsequent investigation from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office led to no criminal charges. Child Protective Service similarly failed to act, including Shelley Sexton lying to parents about interviewing the victims.

Steiner will continue to work with special needs children – such as the minority student that he once told, “If you’re black, you play basketball, or you just get in trouble.”

Jay Schill is the principal at Ballenger Creek Middle School.

He can be reached at Jay.Schill@fcps.org or at (240) 236-5700.
