HAGERSTOWN, MD – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent plea for public assistance in locating an individual tied to the recent homicide of Washington County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson.

Pedro Argote, 49, of Hagerstown, has been identified as a person of interest in connection to the Oct. 19 murder of Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson.

Wilkinson, who presided over Argote’s domestic custody case on Oct. 19, awarded Argote’s ex-wife sole custody of their children; the assailant’s motive remains unclear.

Pedro Argote Physical Description

  • Argote is described as being 5’7”
  • He weighs approximately 130 lbs
  • The alleged assailant has black hair and brown eyes.

Authorities believe Argote may drive a silver 2009 Mercedes GL450 with Maryland license plate 4EH-0408.

Residents and individuals in the area are strongly advised not to approach Argote if sighted but to immediately contact law enforcement.
