Roy McGrath resigned as Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s (R) chief of staff on Aug. 17, 2020, after The Baltimore Sun reported that McGrath was given a six-figure severance package when leaving the Maryland Environmental Service to join Hogan’s staff.

State Sen. Clarence K. Lam (D-Howard/Baltimore) and Del. Marc Korman (D-Montgomery) joined A Miner Detail Podcast host Ryan Miner on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, to discuss McGrath’s severance and his tenure at the Maryland Environmental Service.

Lam and Korman serve on the General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Fair Practices & State Personnel Oversight.

Their committee is holding hearings on McGrath’s severance package.
