Roy McGrath resigned as Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s (R) chief of staff on Aug. 17, 2020, after The Baltimore Sun reported that McGrath was given a six-figure severance package when leaving the Maryland Environmental Service to join Hogan’s staff.
