VIDEO: Chinese American Parents Association Montgomery County BOE forum

Over 200 people turned out Friday evening, October 7, to Herbert Hoover Middle School for a Montgomery County Board of Education candidate forum that was hosted by the Chinese American Parents Association of Montgomery Couty, Maryland. The organization, according to its website, “was founded in 2016 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization representing primarily Chinese American families in Montgomery County.”

All six Board of education candidates were present on Friday evening, including At-Large candidates Jeanette Dixon and incumbent Phil Kauffman; District 2 candidates Brandon Orman Rippeon and incumbent Rebecca Smondrowski; and District 4 candidates Shebra Evans and Anjali Reed Phukan.

Early voting begins on October 27 and will extend until November 3. Election Day this year is November 8.
