Howard Campaign goes negative in mailing

Being the Saturday before the election, I’m not exactly surprised to receive a political mailer. I’ve gotten a pretty fair share of them, likely because the raw voter data makes my household look like a prime target for election marketing.

This one intrigues me.

Likely, if you are reading this you have read one of our numerous articles about the barbs sent out by the Howard Campaign in the last few weeks.

Let me be Frank with you. See what I did there?

I miss the days of this campaign when the headlines were more like this:

• Robin Ficker is a buffoon
• Frank Howard comes out swinging against the phony War on Women
• Find out what the CD6 candidates believe about this extremely important and relevant issue that Congress will be voting on in 2017

Let me be Frank one more time.

This sort of campaigning does work. Senator Hough, half of team Houghzali the fearsome Frederick County Hydra, used these same tactics to unseat Brinkley in the 4th Legislative District. Will this sort of campaigning work in the 6th District? I have absolutely no clue, and anyone that professes to know is really just making an educated postulation.

I am glad I sat this primary out. Considering what the primary has devolved into, I look forward to sitting future primaries out. At least, until it’s my name on that partisan ballot. #BeasleyForPresident2024? Perhaps #ThorFor4? #EaseInTheBeas?

What I do know is that there’s only 3 more days of Primary Madness and I look forward to everyone getting their eye back on the prize; defeating uber-rich 1%er John Delaney. I want to show the Beer Brothers Miller and Busch that despite their Gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement of Western Maryland that we can kick out their hand-picked Congressman and replace Delaney with a Republican.
