Allen Swope complaint

A Miner Detail Editor in Chief Ryan Miner filed a complaint with the Washington County Board of County Commissioners that targets Washington County Ethics Commission member Allen Swope.

Miner forwarded his complaint to the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, asking the commissioner board to exercise its due diligence and launch an investigation into Swope’s conduct.

The Board of County Commissioners appoint members of the Ethics Commission. The ethics ordinance as written does not include an appeal process or independent oversight.
