The controversial Talbot Boys Civil War memorial was removed Monday, March 14, 2022, from the Talbot County courthouse grounds in Easton, Maryland.
But in 2020, the Talbot County Council voted 3-2 against removing the Confederate statue.
The Talbot Boys memorial was dedicated in 1916 and commemorated 84 Confederate soldiers from Talbot Court who fought and died in the American Civil War.
